I purchased a variety of the scissors from GC, and am amazed at the precision, build quality, ease of use, and value. The design of the 6th Finger models is conducive to good tying habits and they come in different lengths for different hands. I think these scissors are great. I now have three pair with two different sizes. I bought one for home. Had to have another for my travel tying set. Then I had to have the next size. Great scissors. Very easy to use. (Posted on 2/3/12)Quality Price Value - 6th finger scissors Review by Hawk

As stated by many very comfortable .Price Value Quality
As i have always tied with scissors on my fingers, these are better. However they should have serrated blades as they slip while cutting small feathers and deer hair (Posted on 2/2/12) - Wish I had years ago Review by John

This is my first pair of "in hand" scissors. I now realize what i have missed. I wish I had a pair of these years ago. Very comfortable and "safe" in several weeks I have "snagged" and cut an errant thread only once - I can live with that. (Posted on 2/2/12)Price Value Quality - Best Yet. !!!!!!!!!!!! I've finally found a pair of scissors which I really like. Easy to use , excellently sharp and precise. They have pride of place on my desk. when not in my hand. As I only tie small flies I haven't had any hiccups at all. (Posted on 2/1/12)Quality Price Value - Very Positive Review by John

These scissors are great. Exceptional product service department with singlebarb.com. Only drawback is remembering to leave them on the desk when you go for a coffee and find them still in your hand. (Posted on 12/5/11)Quality Price Value - Great scissors; Easy to use Review by G R

My attempts over the years to tie while holding scissors were unsuccessful.Price Value Quality
These scissors solved the problem. They are specifically designed to comfortably rest in your hand when not in use. The blades are excellent.
It took awhile to get over the habit of laying the scissors down after cutting. But after a few flies I started using them as intended.
An excellent product. A bit pricey, but worth it. (Posted on 11/22/11) - excellent Review by Ron

By the time I had finished tying my 3rd fly with these scissors they felt like they were part of my hand! Easy to use, extremely sharp, and precise. I bought the 5.5" size and I have a normal size hand, very comfortable.Quality Price Value
I wonder if they will bring out a curved model? (Posted on 11/2/11) - 6th Finger scissors Review by Rusty Rustenburg

If you haven't bought a pair, then you might as well keep doing things the hard way. It took a week tops to realize that they were on my hands! These scissors ARE A MUST to any fly tier. It is awkward when you are eating a bowl of cereal in the morning and you still have your 6th finger still on. Darwins theory..fly tiers do need evolve to a 6th finger.
