I purchased these hooks, and several other models, as I was running low on r200 style hooks. First, the price drew me in, but the quality will bring me back again and again! I found these hooks to perform as well, and seem to be stronger I might add, as "big name " hooks costing twice as much! I am a convert! I tie flies daily and give most of them away to my buddies, family, etc. Although I've never had a problem with the more expensive hook brands, the Green Caddis hooks I purchased are the ticket. The GCO 200R hooks are of excellent quality! With this style of hook, I often have to bend the hook gap out slightly (very slightly) to get small beads over the hook gap. I sometimes break, or severely weaken the TMC 200R's. This gets expensive when they sell in my local shop for $7/pack of 25! I have yet to break a GCO brand 200R, and for under $3/pack, they are a steal. (Posted on 10/29/12)

I ordered these hooks for my stems and pheasant tails. I can't tell the difference in the fishability of my flies, only the price difference from the bigger name hooks.
