DetailsThis year HowardFilms went on a road trip for America's most infamous underwater creature: The Largemouth Bass. We wanted to see this fish up close & personal, but were not sure how it could have the drama of a saltwater fish haunting white-sand flats. So, we spent a year looking around for the right place to start our odyssey. And yes, unlike Location X, we ARE going to publicly reveal our locations when we are done shooting. See fly rod pros match skills with spin gear pros - & show why the next big thing in light tackle fishing is upon us: A fish that lies just out of sight & hits you every time like the first swing in a bar fight. We loved every minute of it. Even though Bass has been on center stage for years, we think what made us cast so relentlessly when we first picked up a rod needs to be rediscovered. So, we did a lot of research and found the ultimate place to start our journey. The home of many of the heaviest bass ever caught on earth: the hills of Southern California. (Our anglers had fished all over the world, and their hands were shaking after the first day from what they saw.) It's not every day one finds surfers and Pacific Ocean waves on the way to a Bass honey hole. Fly rods compete against the spin rods, with some pretty entertaining results. The scenery is ridiculous! And while we can only show you a little bit in the trailer, there will be a lot more coming in the months ahead as we edit the project.

- Well worth the $$$
I fish for bass with a fly rod and conventional tackle and found this DVD covered both well. Very good sequences and hints that could apply to almost any body of water.

- Great Flick!
This movie has just about everything that it should. It's got a bunch of hardcore fanatics, great fishing, real footage ( cause lets face it, some movies don't show anglers losing fish, which is the reality of the game here), as well as some humour. The different personalities, from John Sherman to Bobby Barrock, and everyone in between just lights this film up. From my standpoint as a warm water fly fisherman, this film is mint. 5 stars indeed!

- GREAT MOVIE!!!
As a long-time gear fisherman for bass I was very excited to watch this movie. I thought it was a great idea to have gear and fly fisherman in the same boat and the way the information was delivered was wonderful. I could have done without the 8-lb IGFA record holder and his views on how to catch record fish on live bait but you take the good with the bad. Maybe the crowning point of this video was the interview of Bill Dance. I would highly recommend this movie, it is well worth the money and I think you will watch it again and again.
